As the Cambria Township Tax Collector I am responsible for collecting taxes for Cambria Township, Central Cambria School District & for Cambria County. Township and County taxes are mailed March 1 of each year with the discount ending on April 30th of that year. The penalty period is November 1 to December 31 of that same year. School taxes are mailed July 1 of each year with the discount ending August 31st of the year. The penalty period is November 1  to December 31 of that same year. By January 10 of the following year, all delinquent bills are turned over to the Cambria County Tax Claims Office in the Cambria County Court House @ (814) 472-1445.

The per Capita Tax is mailed out with the School taxes on July 1. Anyone 18 or older residing in the township is responsible for paying this tax. If you move from the township please notify my office of this change. Also if you change addresses within the township please let me know. It is you, the taxpayer, who is responsible to notify me of any changes and for keeping me up to date.

I am responsible for collecting the Local Services Tax (LST). Any person, over 18 who has gross earnings of $12,000.00 or  more, must pay this tax. This includes both residents and non-residents who are employed or self-employed within Cambria Township. The Tax Amount $25.00 per person. Employers in Cambria Township are required to withold this tax from an employee's pay and forward it to me, as tax collector, by December 31 of each year.

Everyone in the Central Cambria School District will receive the Homestead/Farmstead if you applied for it. If you have not applied for it the school will be mailing out applications in December. I your property has been approved no further application will be mailed. If the porperty is owned by a tax payer but it its in another individuals name, that person is not eligible to receive the reduction.

An approved Homestead/Farmstead is eligable to pay this on an installment basis, instead of a lump sum amount. Those payments are made on the face amount and not on the discount amount. The homestead/Farmstead is a result of Act 1.  The funding comes from PA gaming monies.

Because of the counterfeit money being passed around, I'm sorry to say that I am no longer accepting $100.00 bills in my office.  Please Continue to use checks or money orders to pay your taxes.

My office is located in my house at the address listed above. It is handicapped accessible with a very friendly atmosphere. If you should have any questions at all, I will try to answer them. You may eiter call my office hours. My office is closed one week in September and one week in October for vacation. It is also closed on weekends and holidays. A mail slot is provided for your convenience.
