The residents elect supervisors to carry out the day to day resposibilities of improving the community. They reflect the values of the people they serve.  The supervisors enact ordinances, adopt budgets, approve expenditures, hire employees and maintain roads and bridges. Their role has expanded to incude public safety and land use. And as state and federal mandates increase, these public servants assume an ever greater role in meeting these demands while providing needed services and facilities for their residents. Certainly supervisors are the proper receipents of complaints, ideas and suggestions concerning township affairs. In many cases, the supervisor is called upon as  a problem solvers. The supervisors have a role of representing the township's communal interests, past, present and future.
